15 Years of Memories for Patients Like Francis
As we wrap up our 15th year, we've been thinking a lot about the kids who have found comfort, confidence and a sense of normalcy inside Seacrest Studios. Kids like Francis.
When Francis was diagnosed, everything in his world shifted. Days that used to be filled with school, friends and play were suddenly full of treatments and uncertainty. But the day his hospital opened a Seacrest Studio, something changed again — this time in the best way.
He wandered in curious, unsure of what to expect. From that very first visit, the spark was instant. His face lit up. His shoulders relaxed. Even on the hardest days, the studio became the place he couldn’t wait to return to. He hosted Bingo. He drew pictures. He sang. He laughed. Most importantly, he got to feel like a kid again.
His mom shared something that has stayed with all of us: “The studio gave him back parts of his childhood we were so worried he would miss. He walked in there and felt special, important and like a star.”
Stories like this are the heartbeat of Seacrest Studios. Every moment of joy, every burst of creativity, every child who finds a little light in a tough season is made possible by people who believe in this work and support it year after year.
