CRIKEY! Robert Irwin Visits Seacrest Studios Nashville

Written by Seacrest Studios Program Manager, Mamie Shepherd

It was a g’day in Seacrest Studios at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN, when Wildlife Warrior, conservationist, and TV personality, Robert Irwin, called in all the way from the Australia Zoo!

The “Crikey! It’s The Irwins” star jumped on screen with a Woma python named Jack, much to the delight of our patients!  We learned from Robert that the Australia Zoo has over 1,200 animals.  Irwin was a wealth of cool information – did you know that a crocodile can hold it’s breath for 7 hours?!

Patients were excited to ask Robert about his favorite animal (it’s a crocodile, of course!), and if he had ever seen a real dinosaur.  We could have listened to his stories all day long!

Robert’s cheerful spirit and joyful personality were a sweet spot in our day at Seacrest Studios.  He told us at the end of every day, he thinks about his favorite part of the day.  No doubt, talking to Robert was our very favorite part!

Thanks again, Robert, and everyone at the Australia Zoo, for a beaut bonza day!  We can’t wait until you are able to visit again soon!
