On October 4th, 2019, Seacrest Studios at Levine Children’s Hospital had a special visit from country singer, Jon Langston, who is currently touring with Luke Bryan and Cole Swindell. This was his first time ever in a Seacrest Studios, so it was a really cool experience for both parties. Patients, family members, and various staff members gathered to meet the country star, and he patiently greeted and talked to each one.

Throughout our interview, we learned a lot about Langston. For instance, he is a HUGE football fan, but the reason is not what you would think. He attended Garner-Webb University and played on their football team. He actually did not become interested in music until after he was injured and was no longer able to play football. His favorite football teams are the University of Georgia Bulldogs and the Carolina Panthers, and if he could be any bug in the world, he would be a spider. He readily answered all of our patient questions, even one about bugs! He joined the patients in playing a game of “Fast Food Frenzy,” which is when we found out that he would choose Chipotle over Moe’s any day.

Langston and his team showed so much kindness to our patients when they visited. They each took the time to talk to each patient individually, as well as pose for pictures and sign autographs. Finally, he ended his interview with a few tips for the patients who were watching in their rooms. He told them that if they work hard every day and stay creative, they can accomplish anything they set their mind to. We really enjoyed our time with Jon Langston, and we hope he can come back to visit Seacrest Studios soon!
