Belk Bowl Teams Score Big Points at Seacrest Studios!

It didn't take long for patients at Levine Children's Hospital to discover why the two college football teams that played in the Belk Bowl championship landed in Charlotte. Despite their opposing presence, the SEC and ACC powerhouse football players clearly had hearts of gold! Arriving early in the morning, the University of Georgia Bulldogs, and the University of Louisville Cardinals, made separate appearances in Seacrest Studios to discuss their game-winning strategies in football, and in life.  The icing on the cake was that both head football coaches came with the teams!  What a thrill for LCH patients and their families!  UGA Head Coach, Mark Richt, and Cardinals Head Coach, Bobby Petrino, shared the microphone with their players and talked about everything from their drive around the Charlotte Motor Speedway to what it is like to be doused with a big, FULL cooler after a victorious game (they told us it is as cold as it looks)!

Patients heard about what gifts Santa brought the teams, how much the players practice, what they do when they are injured and sidelined, and what coaches do when their teams are having a hard time. The fun continued when the players competed against each other in a hospital glove blow-up contest! The laughs kept coming during a game of Quick Draw! After an autograph-signing session, and picture-taking, both teams left lots of fans and football hopefuls inspired by their visit. A big thank you to two giant teams in college football!
