We can’t think of a better way to kick off the start of summer than with a visit from country recording artist, Kip Moore! The “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck” singer stopped by Seacrest Studios at Levine Children’s Hospital while on tour with Tim McGraw in Charlotte.
Kip was bombarded with questions about his truck the minute he walked in our doors! The song he made famous has been a favorite of LCH patients. They wanted to know what kind of truck he drives – it’s a black Chevy – and if it is lifted up high!
Kip talked about his friendships with Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean. He revealed that he doesn’t get involved in social media that much and that selfies aren’t really his thing. He also gave great advice to patients, and their families, about not giving up. “I got told ‘no’ a million times before I finally got a ‘yes.’ It’s just having your mind made up that you’re going to beat whatever you’re against. You’re going to defeat it and you’re going to get where you’re trying to go.” He inspired our patients! There’s “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck”…and something about Kip Moore! Thanks for spending the first day of summer with us!
