Mason Ramsey Yodels His Way Into Hearts at Le Bonheur
Country star Mason Ramsey made a special stop at Seacrest Studios inside Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital while on his nationwide tour, just ahead of his Memphis performance at Minglewood Hall.
Mason chatted about the viral moment that launched his career — his 2017 Walmart yodeling video — and shared that he’s been singing since he was little, teaching himself to yodel naturally. During the visit, he joined patient co-host Emmy for some fun games and conversation, including a round of “Yodel or No-del,” where he nailed a yodel rendition of “Party in the USA” but struggled with “Old McDonald” and “Itsy-Bitsy Spider.”
Mason and Emmy bonded over their love of basketball while playing “Where’s the Ball?”—a tricky game of spotting the real basketball in edited photos. Together, they made a great team! We also learned about Mason’s touring tradition of hiding an Elvis Stitch on stage before every show, a sweet connection to Emmy’s favorite character, Stitch.
To top it off, Mason performed two original songs: his latest, “Next Right Thing,” and his breakout hit “Famous.”
We’re so grateful Mason took time out of his busy schedule to bring his voice, humor and heart to our studio!
