Passing through Philadelphia for Jingle Ball, Meghan Trainor decided to also make a surprise stop at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia! When asked how she liked Philly she responded, “I like the cold!” Though not too surprising for the New England native with her hometown nearby on Nantucket Island.
Eager patients wanted to know why Meghan wrote her chart topping hit All About That Bass. “I wrote that song for me … my self-acceptance.” She went on to explain how at first, she hated the outfits used in the music video and all the “Easter” colors, but after seeing the overall vision she proclaimed, “I’ll look adorable… let’s do it!" Considering her rapid rise to fame with hit songs like Lips Are Movin’, it is hard to imagine what she could do next. Luckily for us, Meghan decided to let us in on a little secret, “I’m not sure if I should say this” Trainor explained as she revealed she just finished recording a song with mega-artist Jason Derulo. It seems we can expect a lot more from Trainor in the near future and we’ll be anxiously awaiting her next visit to Seacrest Studios. Best of luck on your tour, Meghan!
