Children’s Hospital Of Orange County (CHOC) welcomed American Idol’s Pia Toscano and her writing partner, Jared Lee. The duo performed two songs during their interview at Seacrest Studios on Friday, April 12. After a meet-and-greet with patients and their families, Toscano and Lee professed a keen interest to return to CHOC and continue sharing their melodies and advice.

The beautiful Toscano enlightened studio guests and staff on her long, yet successful, journey with American Idol. After repeatedly attending auditions for a few years, the singer/songwriter achieved a spot in the top 10 on Season 10 of the popular show.

The New York native was persuaded by her good friend and singer/songwriter, Lee, to return to California and continue pursuing her talents. The pair is currently working on their own separate albums, but helping each other along the way. Their passionate harmonies of a cover of Time After Time filled the studio.

Toscano has performed on network giants like The Today Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She commented on the notion that she was said to be dubbed the LA Kings’ “good luck charm” while she sang the National Anthem during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The singer is presently still part of the Kings family. Toscano gave the kids advice. She expressed the importance to stay strong and keep on reaching for their goals and dreams through an enduring message. “All those times I thought I wasn’t good enough, but you just gotta stay true to who you are.” Many thanks to Pia and Jared for making it a special day in studio!
