Restless Road Performs Songs From Spongebob, Taylor Swift & Debut Album "Last Rodeo"

Seacrest Studios New York had the pleasure of welcoming Ryan Seacrest Foundation ambassadors and country sensation Restless Road to the studio this January.

While on their “Last Rodeo Tour”, bandmates Zach, Colton, and Garrett made a special stop by Cohen Children’s Medical Center ahead of their concert at Gramercy Theatre to meet patients. Having visited many studios across the country, it was no surprise that these guys were naturals when it came to chatting with patients and performing their music.

Upon arrival, patient DJs had questions ready for the band about how they got their start and named their group. According to the guys, “Restless Road” was born after a few other not-so-popular names were thrown around.

“Honestly, the R’s just sounded really good together, and everybody liked it!” said Zach.

The band talked about how, much like boyband sensation One Direction, their group was put together by Simon Cowell on the show X-Factor in 2013. The guys said it’s been a wild ride over the last 10 years, and they look forward to more fun in the future!

When a patient DJ asked if the guys had ever considered voice acting, Colton told us it’s been a dream of theirs for a long time! He even shared his magnificent impression of Shaggy and Scooby from Scooby-Doo.

After discussing which Taylor Swift era is the best with another patient, Restless Road gave a little taste of her hit song “Tim McGraw” before singing another silly song from the cartoon, Spongebob. Following lots of fun covers, the guys treated the audience in-studio and those tuning in from their rooms to a performance of their song “Sundown Somewhere” from their debut album, released last year.

We loved having them visit patients in New York, and we look forward to hearing more amazing things from them in the coming year!
