The VHC brought in the caterpillar puppet they use in their live show here in New York City. The 3-foot-long creature moved and wiggled along as a volunteer from VHC and a patient read the story together.

Following the story time, Love Your Melon gave out especially cobranded beanies and slap bracelets, along with a DIY sticker activity and copies of the book (in multiple languages)!

The Hungry Caterpillar even visited a patient upstairs that was unable to attend the reading in the studio. He tried to steal some mac and cheese while the patient read his story aloud!

Seacrest Studios at Cohen Children’s Medical Center was so happy to host the critter and Love Your Melon for this fun event and hope he’ll come back soon!
