WrestleMania season is in full swing bringing WWE Superstars to the TD Garden for a Friday Night Smackdown. Patients at Boston Children’s Hospital got a special visit from none other than Apollo Crews, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose before they took the ring.

The trio talked about how they got their start in the wrestling industry, gave out WrestleMania Title belts, and even gave patients a chance to ask some silly questions.

Sonya and Mandy talked about their similar childhoods growing up in small towns and how it inspired them to lead a very active lifestyle at a young age. While they both agreed they wouldn’t change their childhood for anything they didn’t stray from the fact that many wrestlers now start training even earlier than they did. Apollo brought the inspiration sharing with patients how he used his friends and family to lean on for support while building his career. Although he experienced many setbacks at the beginning from people telling him he wasn’t good enough he expressed to patients that only gave him the motivation to push himself even further propelling him to a career full of success later on.

The WWE Crew have a biography full of impressive professional moments but patients couldn’t stray away from the topic of food. Nothing was off limits which had patients asking some strange questions like how they each like to eat an Oreo!

And it wouldn’t be a proper WWE visit without one of our patients showing off their bicep curl using one of our Seacrest Studios mics as a dumbbell.

Our patients are so thankful for Sonya, Mandy, and Apollo’s visit and will definitely be using their advice to prepare for their future WWE debuts.
